Last year, there was an iTUNA club from each of the states of the FSM, making four clubs in total in addition to other neighboring schools or youth groups participating in projects or other activities. iTUNA in the FSM has done presentations in local high schools about the importance of sustainable fishing and the importance of caring for the environment and our ocean. Last year iTUNA also joined together across the four states to help plant trees, raise awareness in local high schools about sustainable fisheries and the importance of sustainability, and help clean the environment. iTUNA has also gone from influencing youth in the FSM to influencing the elders of our islands to help raise awareness and to keep the environment healthy and clean.
